World Religions
Hi, I'm Reid. I'm currently taken a class called World Religions and in this class I have to do an "Independent Project" for my teacher. The project is about reading something I enjoy that relates to any of the Religions we talk about- Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Confucianism, Native American Spirituality, Judaism, Christianity, Taoism, and Western Philosophers- and do something such as a paper, drawing a picture, or simply writing poems about it. I've decided to write about The Beatles and their spiritual lives. The Beatles have always been a really important part of my life. My uncle, as I was growing up, introduced The Beatles and Hinduism to me at a very young age. Since my uncle passed away at the age of twenty-eight, I've dug deeper into all the religions that he dabbled in, in hopes that maybe theres a way to be closer to him. My uncle was a fan of Hinduism and The Beatles, so I'm fascinated at how and why they were so connected to Hinduism- especially George Harrison- and wanted to educate myself more.
